Missed another day of work today. :( The problem is the damn weather changes too fast around here and doesn't let my body adjust. So when it's nice out I am fine, gets cold and rainy and I cease up like a rusty old door hinge. I'm also out of med's so that doesn't help much. The conditions in Texas seem to be the same all the time so I don't think I'll be bothered as much down there as I am up here. Conditions change to rapidly and I can't adjust so pain pain pain. Blah. For the most part I can deal with it just fine. I am just careful at what I do when the pain is most prominent. Other wise I'm pretty good. Haven't got much else to say here other then I wish I could sleep a full 8 hours without waking. Just once would be sweet as toast and jam. Oh and I can't wait for this month to end. I'll be leaving this shit hole I call home for new adventures down yonder. Sure I'll miss friends and family for the first few days but aah, so what. The whole reason I want to get away is to get away from my friends and family for awhile and be on my own. I'm 30 years old already and haven't been anywhere. Every time I was given a chance to go somewhere else I always turned it down for reasons I had at the time. But I don't have anything to stop my now, sure bills but fuck them; they'll get paid when I feel like paying them. I'll do my best to keep them paid up though. Going to leave a day early and head through the Rocky Mountain National Park, maybe hump a few bears, eat some rabbits, and flash all the old ladies I see driving by. Should be a blast! Just as the sugar plumbs started to appear I swear someone stuck a truck load of caffeine in me because I woke up wide awake and ready for a new day. I turned and looked at the clock to find out it was only 2:30am and I slept for about 15 minutes! Jeesus merphy... I lay there trying my damdest to fall back asleep but nope, wasn't going to happen. So I got up and went outside and had a smoke, hoping the fresh air combined with the crap from the cigarette would put me back to sleep, ha, boy was I wrong. It wasn't until around 4am or so that my eyes finally decided they had enough and needed to close. I pretty much sat upstairs on the couch in the dark the entire time waiting for this moment and it finally arrived. I had to be up early to help my buddy Scott from Texas fix his friends machine via the interweb. I set my alarm for 8am and let my eyes slip closed. Realizing I was still standing up by the T.V. I quickly jumped (more like slithered) into bed before the next wave of what ever the fuck it was that kicked my in the ass before, kicked in. aaaaaaahhh sleep. BUZZ! BUZZ! BUZZ! Fuck! Already time to get up... blah! So there I sat, dead ass tired trying to figure out if I was still sleeping, dead, or alive. Then Scott called and we chatted for a bit while we tried to connect to his buddies box and get the thing fixed. But we had no luck, his machine is on a 56k connection so would take me a week of Sundays to get anything done on it. After awhile of messing around, and Scott calling me back every so often to try something else we came to the conclusion that formating the biotch was the answer. Roger that! HOOOAH! My blasted arthritis was working extra hard to piss me off today, so I called in sick. Fuck it, the place is deader then Sean’s GF in bed anyway. And Graham needed to borrow my wheels, so what ever. They got me working every day the next 2 weeks anyway cause I'm a machine ya know! Just my joints ain't had a decent drop of oil in a fair bit is all, extra squeaky. I got in some AAO with the boys today. Played for about an hour then went outside to relax. Now I'm here writing in this gay blog cause I'm a nerd and have no friends. I woke up this morning to the disc menu of The Empire Strikes Back looping in the back ground. The high pitched sound of the orchestra instruments bouncing around in my head in a continues loop. I lay there in bed trying to block it out as it was 6am and I just wanted to get a few more hours of sleep in. Besides that the T.V. is way over there, and I'm way over here. Unfortunately my fingers are about 8 feet too short to reach the power button to stop the crap from driving me retarded! So being the lazy ass that I am I put a pillow over my head hoping it would drown the sound out a bit so I could get back to sleep. It worked for about 5 minutes but the piercing squeal of the wind instruments eventually found their way through the fibers of my pillow and into my ears! AAAAAGH! After about the 300th loop I had enough and got up, walked over to the T.V. and turned it off. Aahhh silence, how sweet it is! As I climbed back into bed something hard bit me in the ass, wouldn't you know it... The fuckin' remote for the T.V., on the bed the whole time! This is going to be a wonderful day...... I lay in bed trying to get back to sleep and even though I turned the T.V. off the sounds of that god for saken DVD are screaming though my head like a bullet through a gun barrel. FUCK! Well I guess that's it for my sleepy time, lets go make some coffee! Through a pot of coffee on and realized I had to piss like mad. I guess the music in my head was pain enough to take the ache I had down below away. Yes it was, extremely long day and quite boring too I might add. Absolutely nothing to do as the morning shift had extra time on their hands to get extra work done. All the prepping was done when I got to work so I spent the next 8 hours twiddling my thumbs waiting for some work to happen. Never came! Since they (GOV) passed the new “No Smoking” law in January for public places the restaurant has completely gone to shit. We’re lucky to get a $400 shift done lately. Used to be a time 2.5 years ago that the place was always packed full, but not anymore. Kind of sad for business but really what can a person do right? I mean restaurants are popping up everywhere now taking business away from us, so can’t really do too much about it I guess? I managed to get a few chapters read in my book. (Stephen King – Wizards And Glass – The Dark Tower IV) I love this series of Stephens books, one of the best series of books I have every read. But I love Stephen King novels anyway. I read the first two novels years ago when still living out on the farm with ma and pa like 11-12 years ago. Then a year and a half ago I found novels III and IV, finally got around to reading III late last year, but I don’t read them day after day until they are done. I usually read a few chapters here and there when I find the time. (Usually while on the crapper!) I finished III 2 months ago but didn’t get into the 4th novel until a few weeks ago. I’m on chapter VI at the moment (page 223), I’d get into details here but then that would just make me want to start reading more, but I have to get to bed soon. LOL My ex-girl friend Cheryl bought me volume V (Wolves Of The Calla) for my birthday this year which was awesome. Thanks Cheryl!! Very good series though, I recommend them as they are a great read for the casual reader like myself or the cronick reader. Haha On another note, I had to move my clan forums to my home server tonight. I checked my bandwidth usage and I’m already hitting %50 of my allotted monthly usage, and that is just after about 2 days of the forums being up. So you can see why I had to move it! I just setup a redirect to point to my server, this way the usage will go down considerable and save me from having to fork over some coinage to upgrade for more bandwidth per month. Well, after some deliberation about starting a weblog I decided "why the hell not"!? I've got nothing better to do at this very instance in time anyway. And getting back into the "internet" scene is kinda nostalgic for me. Many moons ago I was quite the geek-tard with the website crap, however over time my interests leaked else where and I never looked back at the web sites I had created or played with. Anyway to get back on track here. I finished my clan’s forums late lastnight after some long hours of pissing with PERL and templates. We lost our main forums when our forum owner left our clan. He took the forums with him. :angry: There was some incriminated evidence against him as being a hack user, even though some of the evidence was extremely strong it all fell down to a GUID. Which we got by screen shots and what not and showed he was not the same person as was in the screen shot submitted to AASA. So we proved he was an innocent player however, allot of people in the community didn't like the guy for god only knows why and pretty much forced the poor guy out of the community, and out of our clan. So me being the kind of guy I am and always wanting to help even though I might not have the resources, I decided to take over the forums, started from scratch with a whole new forums system. (YaBB - Best free PERL based free forums software out there in my opinion.) Anyway to cut this short for today - I have to get, service call - some llamma doesn't know how to operate their box and fucked it all up. So in comes Mike to fix the shit as usual.
